and the winner is ...
So very excited!
Thank You, Lord, for the blessings of these little girls! Continue to grow them strong in Your will. May they become women of grace, love, and ones who strive after You with all of their heart! Mold me to be an example of You for them in all I do.

Pregnant with twins!
My diary at 22 weeks:
How big are the babies? They are big! They are the length of a spaghetti squash. I really don't see how that is possible though, I have one sitting in my kitchen and there's NO WAY there are TWO of those in ma'belly! :)
Their big changes this week: The bebes are getting into their sleep groove, snoozing 12-14 hours a day. Their eyes are developed, but their irises still lack color. Their permanent eye color won't be official until they are born and around 9 months old. Can't wait to see those beautiful eyes!!! And a week ago at my appointment Dr. Thorn (love that guy!) said they were measuring 14 and 15 ounces ... so this week they are over a pound I'm sure! Wahoo!!!
Cravings this week? Nothing new to report! I have been trying to pay more attention to my protein intake, because it is a difficult thing for me to get as much protein as is recommened. For twin pregnancies, they say 110-130 grams of protein A DAY! I have (much to my chagrin) taken up eating eggs in the morning to help me get closer to that goal. Not my favorite thing, but I'm doing it for the bebes, so it's all good!
New news/blessings?
Weight: 167
Total gain? 11 pounds ... not that it really matters!
Showing? Yep! I finally have people asking me if I'm pregant that didn't know I was pregnant already, which could be dangerous ground, haha, asking someone if they're pregs without actually knowing! The milk man (who knows I am pregs) even told me this week that I looked "pleasantly plump!" ... I laughed! That was way better than the guy that said I looked like I had gone of my diet. Grrrrr. Still not happy with that man! :)
Inches around? 40
Maternity clothes? I'm still in my "regular" clothes, but I did buy a pair of maternity jeans. They stay up better than my jeans with a Bellaband.
Girl/Girl, Boy/Boy, Boy/Girl thoughts? What do you think?
New dance moves? I can feel them with my hand on my belly bumping around on occasion now. It's the best! I'm loving it! And I think one of them may have had the hiccups yesterday, maybe? It was a consistent bump ... bump ... bump ... bump.
Things people say: I'd say the most common one (which I was warned about) is, "Twins? You're going to have your hands full!" Yes, thank you, I know ... and I'm MEGA EXCITED about it!
Silly nicknames for the bebes? Fruit Loops, Bebes, Beans.
Complaints? None! (This will never change!)
Feeling in general? So excited! And beyond blessed.

New news/blessings?
- I'm really doing very well! Loving every minute of this whole blessing!
- I'm very excited and can't stop thinking about them coming and sharing love with them!
- Last weekend I had some strange heart things, inconsistent beats, elevated heart rate, even while resting (making it very hard to calm down to sleep, etc), so my Dr. wanted me to have an EKG done. It was all fine, except my heart rate is elevated, and has been since, but he said that I'm just working extra hard growing two little ones, so it's nothing to worry about yet. He doesn't want to stick me on meds (nor do I want them) so he just told me to take it easy and keep and eye on it.
- We started a pregnancy/birth class (The Bradley Method) and I'm loving it. It focuses on nutrition during pregnancy, exercises to strengthen and give you stamina during delivery and beyond, doing things naturally and drug free, and is just super informative for a newby like me. It's giving me lots of peace of mind just knowing what my body is capable of and will go through. Very thankful for it!

want to see a picture?
I will be the first to admit, previously, whenever anyone would insist on showing me an ultrasound picture of their baby I was like "Awwww", but inside I was like, "Huh? I don't get it." Haha. Not that I didn't care, I just didn't get how that fuzzy image of an alien looking baby could evoke such emotion.
Until now, that is. Now that they are my babies, it's totally different.
So, would you like to see a few pictures of my babies? Roll your eyes, it's ok. I can't see you, and I COMPLETELY understand if you do. I was so there once. But I love them, and can't stop looking at them!

20 weeks strong
Pregnant with twins!
My diary at 20 weeks:
How big are the babies? Bananas! They are the length of a banana this week! Now THAT I understand! Big babies!
Their big changes this week: They are swallowing amniotic fluid more and more, getting their digestive system ready for when they are born. And, something interesting I read is that studies have shown that a kiddo is more apt to eat the things they are exposed to in the womb ... meaning, if I'm eating lots of fruits and vegetables, they will be likely to like them as well! Which also means, I had better stop eating Mambas. Ding dang.
Cravings this week? Cold apple cider. I know, weird, right? I had some a few weeks ago at an apple orchard, and then one night a few days ago I woke up at 2am DYING for cold apple cider! It was seriously a "I need this now or I'm going to go crazy" type of thing. Much like the seafood sub episode. Sadly, I didn't have any in the house so I got up and drank a glass of milk. When I got to work at 6am I was still jonesing for it, so I messaged Lips asking if he'd bring me some to work. Problemo solved. It is now my go to drink of choice! So random!
New symptoms/blessings?
Weight: 166
Total gain? Hit the ten pound mark!
Showing? There's a noticeable bump for sure, tho still smaller than average I'd say. Even the ultrasound tech said I was small, but not worriesome small, so that's good to know!
Inches? 40
Maternity clothes? No change on this front. I will say, however, that my cardigans are getting a little snug!
Girl/Girl, Boy/Boy, Boy/Girl thoughts? Mmmmm, well, we found out this week! And yes, I know nothing is ever 100%, but it's so great to have an idea for now! Luckily we will be having an ultrasound every four weeks, so I just might just ask them to check each time, haha! Be looking soon for a post!
New dance moves? I can feel them more and more, and I love it! Today, one kicked me in the ribs. It was the best!
Silly nicknames for the bebes? Fruit Loops, Bebes, Beans.

New symptoms/blessings?
- Things are pretty mellow for me now, not much new to update on!
- General excitement is growing!
- It's becoming more work to breathe, I think it's because everything is so tight and squished? I feel like I'm in an overly tight bridesmaid dress 27/7. With Spanks underneath. Double whammy.
- We had our 20 week scan/ultrasound. Everything checked out perfectly, their little hearts, to their kidneys, to their pinkies. They are measuring right on track, are 11 ounces each, and are head down right now. One even gave us a "thumbs up"! So beautiful! Praise the Lord for healthy babies!

19 weeks strong
Pregnant with twins!
My diary at 19 weeks (I missed last week):
How big are the babies? The size of a large tomato. Or, one site says a mango. Ok, I think they have their veggies messed up? Seems smaller, yet again! They are supposed to be 6 inches in length now! Maybe I'm misunderstanding this whole thing? Is it the weight of a tomato or the actual size? Goodness, I have no idea.
Their big changes this week: Last week they were starting to flex their muscles. Pumping iron! This week, their hair is budding! Can't wait to put a bow in it! Or, give it a mohawk! :)
Cravings this week? I'm kind of boring with my food lately. But, I did want hot fudge the other night. And then, an apple dessert pizza from Pizza Hut. I had neither though. Then, I was looking at some recipes and came across Banoffee Pie. Ever heard of it? That sealed the deal. I had to have it. So, I made it yesterday. YUMMO. It's an English pie with a graham cracker crust, bananas, toffee (You cook sweetened condensed milk for two hours in the oven. Who knew??!!), and freshly whipped whip cream. Yes. You know you want some now!
New symptoms/blessings?
Weight: 164
Total gain? Eight pounds. Last time I was to the Dr. he asked if I was eating enough calories. I don't know if that was his way of saying I hadn't gained enough or what? He said I need 500-600 more than usual. Seems almost impossible to me, since I can't eat very much at one time, and the stuff I like isn't ridiculous in the calorie department. So, I'm trying to be a bit more proactive. See the bit about "Banoffee Pie" above. No shortage of calories in that bad boy!
Showing? Yes. Still not a bump bump (I get a lot of "you're not very big yet!" comments), but getting obvious something's going on in there! Had a cantankerous. old man (who had just been informed I was expecting before he saw me) say to me, "I see you've gone off your diet." Let's just say I was not amused with his humor. I told him he was rude and walked away. He pushes my buttons, obviously.
Inches? 39 (right below my belly button). I don't know where I started, however. I was wearing size 30 waists before. But, if I measure the circumfrence of those pants, they are 37 around. I don't get clothing measurements. Do you?
Maternity clothes? Still the same, able to fit most of my clothes. Though, I live in stretchy yoga pants it seems.
Pregnancy brain joys? I think I might be getting sillier? I laugh hysterically at the silliest things. I kind of like it!
Girl/Girl, Boy/Boy, Boy/Girl thoughts? My Grandma Rose told me the other day she thinks "the littler one is a girl, and the bigger one is a boy." I honestly have no idea where she's getting this littler/bigger one idea from, since you can't really tell the size on an ultrasound picture because their pictures are always individual, so you can't really compare them. She cracks me up! We shall see soon though, if she's right!
Feeling movements? Yes, and it's the best thing ever! I was worried because I had only been feeling little patters on my left side, but at my last appointment my Dr. did an ultrasound and one bean is hanging out smack dab on my left side and the other is way lower, tucked inside. That's why I haven't felt that one as much. But, this week I have felt more movements down low, so I'm happy with that!

- Everything is still pretty consistent.
- Cheeks, tongue, and gum sensitivity.
- It doesn't feel good to bend over. Things are getting a little scrunched in there I think!
- We get to find out SOON if we're having cowboys, cowgirls, or one of each! Pretty pumped for that!
- I had a bunch of the ladies at the grocery store today tell me congrats, so the word is definately out! Once the grocery store workers know, EVERYBODY knows! :)

dreams
I had a dream a week ago or so, and it still sticks with me. It was quite hilarious.
My tummy was its normal size and I was looking at it, when all of a sudden, both the babies STOOD UP ... it looked like I had two towers sticking out of my belly! I could see the outline of their little faces, their nose, etc, like they were kiddos wearing sheets over their heads pretending they were ghosts. Hilarious, right? Then, they started walking around, back and forth across my belly. All I could do was watch in amazement. Oh my.
