the adventures of Rosie & Mae Mae

Dutch Windmill
Orange City, IA

Rosie (Pem) says, "This beautiful windmill is 76 feet tall with a dome weighing five tons and vanes weighing over seven tons. Originally, windmills were used to mill grain or pump water."

Mae Mae (Pais) says, "Helaas, pindakaas!"

(translation: Unfortunately, peanut butter!)

  1. Hi there! Just wanted to say hello. I am also adopting from NEDC and have a transfer scheduled for September. Debbie B. pointed me to your site. So excited to meet another blogger that has adopted thru NEDC.

  2. Hello! So good to hear from you! What a blessing this journey has been, as well as our donor family, Debbie and of course, the NEDC! I'm sure you have so much anticipation and curiosity as for what's to come of your journey, I know I did! Keep trusting the Lord in all! Let me know if you ever have any questions or want to chat or anything at all :)
